City of Aurora recently issued the following announcement.

City of Aurora Clean Up 4/21 – 4/23

The Clean-Up will feature curb side services and a drop-off location at the Aurora Sports Complex provide at no cost to residents of Aurora. 

This services is funded by Aurora property taxes and will be strictly limited to Aurora residents. 

Please ensure your property is located in the City limits (not just an Aurora zip code / mailing address) before placing items along the street. 

Drop off patrons will be asked to provide a copy of their most recent utility bill or tax bill for proof of residency. 

If proof of residency is not provided, you will be asked to leave and not
permitted to use the dumping facilities. The City is also seeking volunteers and sponsors to help make the event possible.

Curb Side Pickup

Curb side pickup will be provided by City employees and volunteers and will be spread between two days to make for a more manageable task. 

For property located on the north half of the city, pickup will be held on Thursday, April 21st and for residents on the south half of the City Friday, April 22nd, see map below for additional details. 

All items must be placed out by the street, no later than 7 AM the day of pickup or there is no guarantee that the item will be picked up and the property owner will be responsible for disposal.

Drop-Off

The drop off disposal site will be held at the Aurora Sports Complex, 787 Park Avenue, Aurora, IN, 47001 – and will be open on Thursday (4/21), Friday (4/22), and Saturday (4/23) from 8 AM to 4 PM. A COPY OF YOUR MOST RECENT UTILITY BILL OR PROPERTY TAX BILL MUST BE PROVIDED FOR SERVICE, NONRESIDENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ACCESS AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. TIRE DISPOSAL WILL BE LIMITED TO 4 TIRES PER RESIDENT. 

Hazardous household waste will only be accepted if in the original container and in good condition, free of leaks.
