Crawford promoted to head coach of Hanover College men's and women's swim programs
Hanover College Director of Athletics Lynn Hall is pleased to announce the promotion of Jay Crawford to head coach of the Hanover men's and women's swimming programs.
The promotion comes shortly after being named interim head coach by the Hanover Athletic Department in early October.
Crawford becomes just the second coach in program history bringing an immense amount of experience with him. Vice President for Athletics Lynn Hall said, " I am very happy to remove the interim tag from Jay's title. It is obvious to me that the student athletes like and respect him as a coach and are thrilled to have him continue to lead our program."
Jay has been serving as the Southwestern High School head coach for the past 20 seasons where he has developed and coached both Junior High and High School student-athletes as well as aided the Hanover College swimming programs.
Crawford and the Panthers are slated to return to the natatorium on Friday, Jan. 20 when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. taking on Rose-Hulman.
