Men's Tennis sweeps Berea
The Hanover men's tennis team swept Berea on Saturday afternoon, 9-0.
Hanover kicked off the afternoon sweeping doubles action as the no. 1 doubles team of freshman Abhay Singh (Ambala, India) and junior Rodolfo Jacoms (Guayas, Ecuador) won the match 8-1.
The team of junior Charley Williams (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and junior Gustavo Assumpcao (Lagoa Santa, Brazil) picked up the win at no. 2 doubles 8-0, before claiming no. 3 doubles by no contest.
In singles action, Singh claimed no. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 while teammate freshman Ilya Gromochenko (Tucson, Ariz.) picked up his first win of the afternoon at no. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0.
Junior Tyler Brunty (Crawfordsville, Ind.) picked up a victory as part of no. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
At no. 4 singles, sophomore Jaya Sivesh (Nagercoil, India) won the match 6-0, 6-0. Rounding out the match was Wiliams with his second victory of the contest as part of no. 5 singles 6-0, 6-0.
